The historic and the world famous Udaipur district is one of the 33 districts of Rajasthan state. The district is characterized by hilly terrain, with hills in the west and south, an elevated plateau in the north, and plains in the east. Udaipur district is rich in mineral resources, and produces greater value of minerals than the rest of the state combined. The important metallic minerals found in the district are orc of copper, lead, zinc and silver.

Situated in this District is a Producer Organization of 300+ members who are experts in Pottery and we had a great opportunity to meet some of them on the 8th and 9th of February 2021. The Pandemic was a terrible setback for these humble artisans, but the intensity and eagerness that was displayed by them in the interactions was truly remarkable. They were all determined to do everything possible to make a strong comeback and promote their beautiful craft and products to the world. Hats off for the positive attitude!
